The diverse menu creations and preparations of Executive Chef, Victor Zarate, CEC has brought the dining experience at Scarsdale Golf Club to an entirely new level. Victor had humble beginnings in the wide world of food, being in their first kitchen in his early teens and progressively growing into the certified chef he has become today. His simple yet sensational cuisine will satisfy any palate, and his passion for the culinary arts is unmistakable in the very perfection of every plate. Many of the cuisines he prepares evolved from personal memories in his journeys through the culinary world.
Chef started his culinary career in Michoacán, Mexico where he grew a life long passion for cooking. At age sixteen working in a butcher shop in Mexico he realized that he could incorporate spices, herbs, and flavor to the beef and create incredible tastes that gave him personal satisfaction. This realization brought him to New York where at age twenty-one he entered the Country Club industry, working his way up the ranks to be your certified Executive Chef here at Scarsdale Golf Club.
